Eligible products also include 12-month coverage for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, plus support for missing, incorrect or defective components reported Delivery Inspection & Reporting.

What Is Covered

✓10 years: Rust perforation completely through eligible steel roof panels, wall panels and structural frame components
✓12 months: Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that prevent a supplied component from performing its intended function
✓12 months: Defective hardware supplied as part of the original carport kit
✓Delivery Inspection & Reporting:
         1. Upon delivery: Report visible damage immediately (note on delivery receipt)
         2. Within 7 days: Report missing or incorrect parts
✓Approved replacement components supplied without charge, including standard delivery within Canada
✓Normal intended residential, agricultural and commercial use, subject to all warranty conditions
What Is Not Covered

Important Exclusions

–Surface rust, cosmetic corrosion, staining, fading, chalking, normal weathering or normal wear and tear
–Corrosion around scratches, chips, cut edges, drilled holes, welds, fasteners or damaged protective coatings
–Incorrect assembly, unsuitable foundations, inadequate anchoring, poor site preparation or failure to follow supplied instructions
–Wind, snow, ice, hail or other loads exceeding the product's published ratings, and severe weather or natural disasters
–Damage caused during installation, customer transport, storage or relocation, or through impact, misuse, neglect or insufficient maintenance
–Corrosion caused by road salt, saltwater, sea spray, pool chemicals, fertilizers, animal waste, treated timber or other corrosive substances
–Unauthorized welding, cutting, drilling, enclosure, extension, painting, structural alteration or use of incompatible components
–Labour, dismantling, reinstallation, foundations, equipment hire, permits, engineering or other related costs
Freight Damage

If Your Shipment Arrives Damaged

Inspect all cartons, roof sheets, frame components and hardware as soon as reasonably possible after delivery or collection. Photograph visible damage and the packaging, note the damage with the freight carrier where possible, and report missing, incorrect or visibly damaged components to us Delivery Inspection & Reporting. Please retain the affected components and packaging until the claim has been reviewed. Confirmed freight damage will be addressed with replacement components or another appropriate resolution.

Correct installation, suitable foundations and timely reporting help us assess any issue fairly and efficiently.

Installation & Maintenance

✓Install the carport in accordance with the supplied instructions.
✓Use suitable foundations, anchoring and site preparation.
✓Use the supplied components and approved replacement parts.
✓Carry out reasonable cleaning, inspection and maintenance.
✓Periodically inspect and tighten bolts, screws, braces, anchors and other connections.
✓Safely clear excessive snow, ice, leaves and debris using non-abrasive methods.
✓Promptly protect scratches, chips and exposed steel with a suitable corrosion-resistant touch-up coating.

Records & Reporting

✓Retain proof of purchase and your order information.
✓Inspect the shipment at the time of delivery.
✓Report visible freight damage, missing items or incorrect components Delivery Inspection & Reporting.
✓Provide clear photographs of the complete carport, affected components, foundations and anchoring when making a claim.
✓Retain affected components and packaging until the claim has been reviewed.

Replacement Parts

Replacement Components Are Available

Approved warranty components are supplied without charge, including standard delivery within Canada. Expedited delivery, special handling and exceptional remote-area costs require prior approval. Replacement parts can also be purchased for most models, subject to availability. Replacement components may differ slightly in colour, finish or profile and do not restart or extend the original warranty period. Labour, dismantling and reinstallation are not included.

Full Warranty Terms

Eligibility, Limitations & Consumer Rights

These conditions define who is covered, what an approved claim includes and the responsibilities that remain with the customer.

Eligibility

✓The product must be identified as eligible and purchased directly from Carports Factory Outlet Canada or an authorized seller.
✓The product must be purchased and installed in Canada.
✓Coverage applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable.
✓Proof of purchase and compliance with the installation, anchoring and maintenance requirements are required.
✓All warranty periods begin on the original purchase date. Replacement of a component does not restart or extend the original period.

Parts-Only Coverage

–The warranty does not cover installation, construction, dismantling, reassembly or disposal labour.
–Concrete, foundations, flooring, equipment hire, cranes, forklifts, scaffolding, permits, engineering and inspection fees are not included.
–Storage, towing, alternative shelter, loss of use, loss of income and other indirect or consequential costs are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.
–This warranty is not a building permit, engineering certification or guarantee that the product is suitable for every site or jurisdiction.
✓Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Canadian law.

Common Warranty Questions

How long is the warranty?+

Eligible steel roof panels, wall panels and structural frame components are covered against rust perforation for 10 years from the original purchase date. Manufacturing defects in eligible materials and workmanship are covered for 12 months. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is subject to all terms on this page.

Is surface rust covered?+

No. The 10-year coverage applies only when corrosion has penetrated completely through an eligible steel component and created a hole. Surface rust, cosmetic corrosion, staining and corrosion around scratches, cut edges, drilled holes, welds, fasteners or damaged coatings are not covered.

Are manufacturing defects covered for 10 years?+

No. Eligible manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship are covered for 12 months from the original purchase date. The 10-year period applies specifically to eligible rust perforation.

What happens if a part is damaged during freight?+

Photograph the packaging and affected components, note visible damage with the carrier where possible and report the issue Delivery Inspection & Reporting. Retain the packaging and components until we complete our review. Confirmed freight damage will be addressed with replacement components or another appropriate resolution.

Does the warranty cover labour and installation costs?+

No. This is a parts-only limited warranty. It does not cover labour, dismantling, reinstallation, concrete, foundations, equipment hire, permits, engineering or other related expenses unless required by applicable law or agreed in writing.

Is weather damage covered?+

Damage caused by severe weather or by wind, snow, ice, hail or other loads exceeding the product's published ratings is not covered. Published ratings apply only when the carport is completely assembled, correctly anchored and installed in accordance with the supplied documentation.

Can I purchase replacement parts?+

Yes. Replacement parts can be purchased for most models, subject to availability.

Does the warranty transfer to a new owner?+

No. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

What information do I need for a warranty claim?+

Please provide your contact details, order number, product model, purchase date, a clear description, photographs of the complete carport and affected component, foundation and anchoring photographs, and any additional information reasonably requested by our team.

Does this warranty replace my legal consumer rights?+

No. This warranty provides contractual rights in addition to applicable Canadian federal, provincial or territorial consumer rights. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
